I have a documented disability and would like to request an accommodation for one or more steps in the hiring process. Who should I contact?
General Motors is committed to being an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and offers opportunities to all job seekers including individuals with disabilities. If you would like to request a reasonable accommodation for any step in the hiring process, email us at GMSupport@psionline.com. Please include a description of the specific accommodation you are requesting and be prepared to provide documentation supporting the request.
General Motors sometimes has multiple facilities in a relatively small geographic region. If you are interested in working at a facility that is within close proximity to other General Motors facilities, your application will be valid for ALL facilities within that region. You will not be able to apply to just one facility within that region. Please visit the Locations/Regions tab to learn more.
I don't see the position or facility/region to which I'd like to apply. How do I submit an application?
Applications are accepted based on General Motors' hiring needs. If you do not see the position or facility/region to which you'd like to apply, it means we are not currently accepting applications for that position or facility/region. Feel free to check back often, as the site will be updated as hiring needs change.
As a reminder, some facilities are included as part of a larger geographic region (e.g. the Grand Rapids Components plant is included within the Greater Lansing Region). Be sure to check the Locations/Regions tab to see if you are able to apply to the specific facility in which you're interested, or if it is included within a larger region.
I started an application but didn't get a chance to answer all of the questions. How do I finish it?
I already filled out an application, but I wish to be considered for a different facility or region. How do I update my application?
Please email GMSupport@psionline.com to request that your application be moved. Note that you may have only ONE (1) application on file at a time. Therefore, if your request to move your application is granted, your original application will no longer be considered valid.
I am trying to log into the https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx site, but I'm getting the following error: Unable to locate data for [email address]. Why is this happening?
This error can occur for two reason:
- You have not completed an online application within this platform. That link is for returning candidates only. If you have not yet applied via this site, please visit the Apply to GM tab to complete an online application.
- The email address you've entered does not match the email address we have on file for you. Be sure to check the spelling of the email address you've entered and make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the address. If you have multiple email addresses, be sure to enter the one you used to apply.
If you've read the above information and still can't log into the portal, please call the Help Desk at 855-435-7338 or submit a ticket here. Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your full name
- The email address with which you are trying to log in
- A description of the problem including the actual URL (https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx)
- Your primary phone number (in case a call back is needed)
I am logged into the https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx site, but I can't click on the position to which I applied. Why is this happening?
If you are unable to click on the position name, that application is no longer valid. This can result from failing a step in the process, or your application may have simply expired. You can visit the Apply Now tab to see if you're eligible to reapply.

Absolutely. The assessment saves your responses as you go, so you will not need to redo the answers you already submitted. To pick up where you left off, please visit this site:
Although rare, technical issues do sometimes occur. If you feel like technical problems impacted your ability to complete the assessment, please reach out to the Help Desk at 855-435-7338 or submit a ticket here. Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your full name
- The email address you used to apply
- That you are taking an online assessment for General Motors
- A detailed description of the technical issue you experienced, including relevant screenshots if possible
Your results will be reviewed in detail to determine if a retest is warranted. Note that minor technical issues often do not impact someone's final results and thus do not warrant a retest.
You will be receiving email and text updates on the status of your application. Please be patient, as it may take several weeks or even months for the selection team to contact all candidates.
I need to schedule an appointment for my on-site exercise, but the calendar is blank. How should I proceed?
If the schedule is blank, it means there are no testing sessions scheduled at this time, OR the testing sessions have all been filled. Check back frequently to see if additional testing sessions have been added; you may access the calendar via this link: https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx. In addition, check your email often, as you may receive notifications as additional sessions are scheduled.
I scheduled an appointment to complete an on-site exercise, but I didn't write down the details. How can I find information about my appointment?
You should receive a confirmation email outlining your appointment details. If you do not see that message in your inbox, please check spam or junk folders, as that email contains important information about your appointment.
You may also visit this site to view the details of your appointment: https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx. Log in with the email address you used to apply, then click on the link that says Schedule or change an appointment. The next page will show you the date and time of your appointment as well information about where the appointment will take place.
If you did not receive a confirmation email or cannot view the details of your appointment via the site above, please email GMSupport@psionline.com for assistance.
You may use the online scheduling tool to reschedule a future appointment. Please visit this site: https://gm.selectrakonline.com/recruitment/portal/myjobs.aspx. Log in with the email address you used to apply, then click on the link that says Schedule or change an appointment. You will first need to cancel your current appointment, then you will be able to schedule a new one.
Please note: If your appointment is within the next 24 hours, or if it was scheduled for a time in the past, you will not be able to reschedule via the online scheduling tool. You must instead contact GMSupport@psionline.com to reschedule your appointment.
You MUST bring a photo ID to be admitted to the testing session. Please bring a driver's license, state issued identification card, passport, or school-issued ID. You will NOT be admitted with a birth certificate, social security card, or other form of identification that does not have a photo.
You do NOT need to bring a resume, high school diploma, GED certification, or testing aids (paper and pencil, calculator, etc.) to the testing session. Everything you need will provided for you. Excessively loose clothing will not be allowed. You may be asked to remove all jewelry and/or tie back long hair. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided before you begin testing.
Alhough I have passed all steps in the hiring process thus far, I have been informed that there are no current job openings right now. How long will my application remain active?
Your passing application will remain valid for two (2) years from the date you applied.
You may reapply one (1) year after your original application date. Please do not attempt to reapply before that time period has elapsed; duplicate applications will be discarded immediately.
I am currently a temporary GM OTS (Other Than Skilled, Production) employee and I would like to transfer to another location. What should I do?
As a temporary employee there are no provisions to allow transfers between plants. If you are unable to continue your assignment at the facility you hired into, it is recommended that you notify the local management and voluntarily resign your position. Once you have resigned, you will be considered a former employee in good standing and you can reapply at a later date for re-employment. However, you are not given any preference over other applicants.
I am currently a permanent GM employee and I would like to transfer to another location. What should I do?
